We are pleased to welcome Dr Lourens Viljoen to the Intercare Glenfair team.
Dr Viljoen completed his MBChB at the University of Pretoria in 2007. In 2011, he moved to Canada, where he practised across various medical disciplines, including primary care, hospital medicine, obstetrics, geriatrics, and palliative care. He received Certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP) in 2015. He served as a Clinical Instructor at the University of British Columbia, training Family Practice Residents in Obstetrics and Family Medicine.
After more than a decade abroad, Dr Viljoen returned to South Africa in 2022. He now focuses on delivering compassionate, patient-centred care. He is a keen runner and enjoys spending time with his wife and their five children.
We are excited to have him join our team and look forward to the experience and care he brings to our patients.
