Intercare Century City is delighted to welcome Dr Alecia van Tonder to the team, a patient-focused medical professional with a special interest in women’s, children’s, and mental health.
Dr van Tonder completed her MBChB at the University of Pretoria in 2018. She then completed her internship at Tygerberg Hospital, where she gained extensive clinical experience over two years. Her community service at Amajuba Memorial Hospital in Volksrust in 2021 further shaped her commitment to delivering accessible and empathetic healthcare.
With a strong belief in patient-centred care, Dr van Tonder brings a thoughtful and holistic approach to her practice. Her dedication to supporting the well-being of women and children and her focus on mental health align with Intercare’s values.
Dr. van Tonder enjoys walking her dog and spending time in her garden, activities that reflect her calm, nurturing nature. We’re excited to have her join our Century City family and look forward to her positive impact on our community.
