Celebrating International Nurses Day 2025 | 2 min read

On International Nurses Day 2025, we proudly celebrate the dedicated nursing staff at Intercare across our Primary Care, Day Hospital, and Physical Rehabilitation Hospital facilities. This year’s theme, “Our Nurses. Our Future. Caring for nurses strengthens economies,” highlights the crucial role nurses play in healthcare and the broader economic landscape.

At Intercare, our 252 permanent, locum, and fixed-term nursing staff exemplify the commitment and compassion driving our purpose of ‘making people feel better’ by providing exceptional care. Nurses play a fundamental role in the healthcare system, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care and support.

Our Nurses:  Healing Hands and Hearts

Nurses are often patients’ first point of contact, providing essential care and emotional support. Their expertise and dedication are vital in managing patient health, coordinating care, and advocating for patient needs. At Intercare, our nurses go above and beyond to ensure that every patient feels valued and cared for.

Our Future: Investing in Nursing

Investing in nursing is investing in the future of healthcare. By supporting and empowering our nurses, we not only enhance patient care, but also contributing to the economy. Nurses play a pivotal role in reducing healthcare costs through preventive care and efficient management of chronic conditions. Their work leads to healthier communities and a more productive workforce.

Strengthening Economies: The Impact of Nursing

Supporting nurses positively impacts the economy. When nurses receive adequate support, they can perform at their best, resulting in better patient outcomes. This allows for resources to be redirected and reinvested in other sectors of the economy. Additionally, nursing is a vital employment sector, offering stable jobs and contributing to economic growth.

On this International Nurses Day, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the nursing staff at Intercare. Your dedication, compassion, and expertise are invaluable. As we celebrate “Our Nurses. Our Future,” we reaffirm our commitment to supporting and investing in our nurses, recognising that their well-being is essential to the health of our communities and the strength of our economy.

Thank you for your unwavering service and for being the cornerstone of our healthcare system.

Happy International Nurses Day!
