We are proud to welcome Dr Damien Bronkhorst to the Intercare Sandton team. Dr Bronkhorst holds a BSc in Human Anatomy, Physiology and Genetics from the University of Cape Town, and an MBBCh from the University of the Witwatersrand. He also completed a Diploma in HIV Management through the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa.
His clinical interests include young adult health, chronic disease management, and preventative medicine. He is committed to delivering patient-centred care by combining clinical excellence, sound governance, and innovative technology.
In 2024, Dr Bronkhorst was recognised as a finalist for the Rising Star Healthcare Practitioner of the Year at the African Health Excellence Awards. He is fluent in English and Afrikaans, and conversational in Zulu.
He enjoys staying active, exploring new brunch spots, and spending time with friends and family. We are excited to have him on board and look forward to the value he brings to our patients and team.
