DIY 1# Dad Trophy Craft Idea

DIY Father’s Day Craft | 1 min read

Award Dad this Father’s Day with this #1 Dad Trophy! This is a fun and easy DIY Father’s Day Craft to do with your child to surprise Dad. Below are steps to create the example but use your own imagination! Your child can decorate the cups as they please: paint, draw, add stickers, ribbons etc. You can even fill your trophy with some of Dad’s favourite things.

You will need:

  • Paper cups
  • Yellow, silver or gold paint
  • Paintbrushes
  • Scissors
  • Felt
  • Pipe cleaners (gold)
  • Glue gun (optional)
  • Glue

Step 1: Paint the two paper cups. Allow to dry.

Step 2: Glue the bottom of the two paper cups together using PVA glue. Allow to dry.

Step 3: Cut a pipe cleaner in half and bend it to create two handles.

Step 4: Use a glue gun (optional) or craft glue to attach the two handles to either side of your paper cup trophy. Adult supervision is recommended when using a glue gun. Allow to dry. You may also like to add pipe cleaners around the bottom and centre of your trophy.

Step 5: Use black felt to cut out your letters and stick them to your trophy using craft glue. Allow to dry. Your trophy is now complete!
