  • Symptoms may include blood in urine and painful or frequent urination
  • May be caused by smoking, exposure to certain cancer-causing chemicals, long term irritation to bladder caused by radiation or certain worm infestations
  • Cannot be spread from person to person
  • Affects males and females but more common in males
  • Can occur at any age
  • May be mild to severe requiring surgery
