Granuloma annulare

  • Skin condition that often affects the back of the hands and top of the feet
  • Symptoms may include small lumps under the skin or a localized or widespread red rash of small raised or flat circular skin lesions
  • Cause unknown
  • Cannot be spread from person to person
  • Affects males and females but more common in females and those with diabetes
  • Can occur at any age but more common in middle age adults
  • May be mild without symptoms to severe and life threatening
